What story comes to mind?
The tension between urban architecture and human environments is central to Ine Lamers' work. For this series she photographed a student complex in De Uithof (now called the Utrecht Science Park), in a search for the identity of the city of Utrecht. The photographs exude a strange, mysterious atmosphere. We see an everyday environment, photographed in night vision. There are no people, but they seem about to arrive at any moment. Thus the abandoned places become settings for stories. But what those stories are is up to the viewer.
